Flash Mob sings Hallelujah Chorus

If you don’t get out much (that includes me) then flash mob might be a new term for you. Anyway here is an example of a “FLASH MOB” at a local food court that break out in the Hallelujah Chorus. By this time, many of you have seen this but for those who haven’t it is priceless.
Enjoy and “MERRY CHRISTMAS.”

How to carve a turkey

Learning and Living is your one stop shop for all your needs! Of course this is primarily dedicated to Bible doctrine but ever now and then we venture into other arenas. Since we are celebrating Thanksgiving today I thought I would post how to carve the turkey. My gift is that of eating and though I am not allowed to touch knives or sharp instruments around the bird today, this is for those who will have the job of slicing and dicing. Jury Duty

Away this week and should return for homework, review for Sunday and updated Bible reading by Saturday.

Fishers of fish?

Obviously Jim and Ken somehow misunderstood that Jesus called Peter, James and John “FROM” the water not “TO” the water. Hey guys you are to be a fishers of men not a fishers of fish. Where is Pastor Russ when you need him? Whatever...

For even a larger picture of this should you need one just click on the photo.

Therapeutic Moralistic Deism

Have you ever heard that term? Well, that is Dr. Michael Horton’s subject at the West Coast Conference 2010.

1:30 – 2:30 P.M.
Moralistic and Therapeutic Deism
The Creed of the new American religion is basically this: God is nice and we
are nice, so we should all be nice. The goal of life is to be happy and to feel good
about oneself, and good people will go to heaven when they die. Some who profess
this creed also profess to be Christian. In this message, Dr. Michael Horton explains
how biblical Christianity has been replaced by this vacuous moralistic and therapeutic
deism.

Here is a short video clip that was just shown live over the internet. Again if you would like to view the conference just click on this LINK.
